MT5 Setup
Attach GoldMind on MetaTrader 5, enable Algo Trading, and configure verified WebRequest domains.
MetaTrader 5 is the primary GoldMind path: full intelligence pipeline, native economic calendar for safety, journal, Assisted / DEMO Auto execution, and validation tooling.
Attach GoldMind on a chart
- Open MetaTrader 5 and log into a DEMO account for first use.
- Open a chart for a supported symbol (start with XAUUSD or a major FX pair you understand).
- In Navigator → Experts, locate GoldMindAI and drag it onto the chart.
- Confirm inputs with Kill Switch ON for the first attach.
- Enable Algo Trading on the MT5 toolbar when you intend to use Assisted or Auto order paths.
- Ensure the account allows Expert Advisors (broker/account setting).
Tools → Options → Expert Advisors
Open Tools → Options → Expert Advisors. Enable Allow WebRequest for listed URL and add only the domains GoldMind actually uses:

News & macro on MT5
- Economic calendar safety uses MT5’s native calendar path when available — this is authoritative for blocking unsafe windows.
- RSS headlines (FXStreet, ForexLive, Fed, ECB) enrich the News UI and soft context; they are not a substitute for calendar safety.
- If required news/calendar data is missing while protection is ON, GoldMind fails closed (WAIT / no unsafe trade).
First launch checklist
- Panel opens beside the chart; Kill Switch remains ON until you deliberately change it.
- Confirm license activation status in Settings when licensing is enabled.
- Leave execution mode on Advisory until you can read decisions and risk output confidently.
- Verify WebRequest works if you enable AI Gateway or online headlines.
